European Spruce/African Blackwood and Pau Ferro

This is my third collaboration with Armin Kelly of Guitars International. A beautiful and well aged European spruce top with just a bit of nice figure utilizes Jeffrey Elliott's open harmonic bar bracing pattern for a rich and dynamic sound.  I elected to use one of my most popular and graphic original rosettes comprised of the blackest African ebony and the whitest American holly. I included a hint of Pau Ferro in both the rosette rings and the purfling lines. The back and sides are composed of African blackwood with a center panel of Pau Ferro on the multi-piece back.  A Pau Ferro detail was repeated in the execution of both the end graft of the guitar as well as the front of the headstock. The Spanish heel neck is fashioned from well aged  Honduran mahogany.  Macassar ebony bindings, a French polish finish of shellac and tasteful tuning machines made by Nicolò Alessi completes  this beautiful concert quality guitar.
