European Spruce/African Blackwood and Pau Ferro  (SOLD)

This guitar was built especially for Armin Kelly of Guitars International. I re-created the guitar that I made for the 2016 Guitar Foundation of America Exhibition with a couple of minor changes.  A beautiful and well aged European spruce top utilizes Jeffrey Elliott's open harmonic bar bracing pattern.  Again, I elected to use one of my most popular and graphic original rosettes comprised of the blackest African ebony and the whitest American holly. The back and sides are composed of African blackwood with a center panel of Pau Ferro on the multi-piece back.  Pau Ferro was repeated in the execution of both the end graft of the guitar as well as the front of the headstock. The Spanish heel neck is fashioned from very old  Honduran mahogany.  Macassar ebony bindings and tasteful tuning machines made by Nicolò Alessi complete  this beautiful concert quality guitar.
